Back to School ]:

Thursday I spent the day hiking and rock climbing and baking cupcakes with Jaci and Cristina.
Apparantly Cristina owns one of Hitler's lemon pressers. Her grandfather (I believe) had a friend who was one of the American soldiers who inspected Hitler's house after the suicide, and he stole a few things. Like a lemon presser? Imagining Hitler with any utensil not meant for mass murder is hard to comprehend.

Cristina took us to this amazing trail in Penasquitos. It was so green along the way (although apparantly ticks are a possibility) and we ended up at this waterfall of sorts. We jumped from rock to rock across this stream and climbed atop the highest boulder. So quiet, and the perfect weather.

The things that come up in conversation on a hike are always so random and interesting. We talked about our parents' pasts. Cristina's mom hitchhiked and remembers very few things do to drugs. My dad was cheated on by his wife on their one year anniversary. We also discussed cannabalism (and odd subject considering we were in such a deserted place) and which Disney princesses we like and do not like. Jaci thinks Jasmin is a slut. They tried to tell me that Nala from Lion King is supposed to be the African American princess, but I don't by that. Mulan is alright, and Cindrella whined a lot.

I cannot wait till Tuesday, I am definitly buying Slumdog Millionaire on DVD. Just thinking about watching it again is giving me goosebumps.
