Interesting day. I thought my first class was in UNLH so I left at the utmost last minute and realized far too late that my class is actually in the stats building...and I have no idea where that is so I went to starbucks. I studied my french outside because the weather was so perfect.
We are learning about french restaurant culture. They don't eat their salad (la salade verte) until after the main course. My new favorite word to pronounce is: des petits pois, which is peas...I love those too. Je suis vegetarienne, je ne mange jamais la viande. (I am a vegetarian, I never eat meat).
While I sitting on a bench near the bookstore, drinking peach tea and waiting for class to start, Stephen, from creative writing (the boy who went to South Africa and eats paper from time to time) came by. I watched his bag while he went into the store and then we chatted. He bought Ulysses by James Joyce...whoa. Then his friend came by and Stephen introduced him by saying "he's better than you, he's better than most people"...I was like Oh really. Because I don't believe he knows me well enough to make that assertion. He talks with his eyes wide open. And he sat super casual, with his arm behind me and a leg bobbing over one knee. His friend had bad teeth.
Geo 4 was whatev. I am worried after I finished with this course I will constantly be natural disaster paranoid. We have two professors. One is currently in China adopting a child.
After class I took my car and managed to get incredibly lost. Sometimes I really dislike my flaws, like lack of direction. I ended up taking the wrong exit, stopped at a Jack and the Box and asked this guy in a military uniform how to get back to UCR. I didn't tell him I was a student there, that would be just embarrasing.
Went grocery shopping. I bought grapes and apples and des petits pois!
